20. Why I Love Pakistan

Pakistan is my beloved country which has given me a separate recognition and sense of freedom. Due to this I can call my self a free and honorable member of the society of free nations. I love Pakistan as I live a respectable life due to this. When Pakistan was not come into existence as a free state, our elders did not enjoy the respect which we have. Due to Hindu domination a great number of industries were under the control of Hindus. All the educational institutions were run by them. There were only a few Muslims who got education and even a very few number of Muslims could take arms against them. Therefore the Muslims were the victim of British ruler as well as Hindu domination. Our elders came forward to throw the yoke of slavery away from their necks so as to become a respectable citizen of an independent state. After a lot of sacrifices they were successful to get freedom. Due to this back ground I fell that if Pakistan were not created, then I would have been still a slave of British ruler. All the progress and advancement in every field of life is due of Pakistan. It is why I love Pakistan very much.

21. Our Independence Day

The 14th August is being celebrated as our independence day. On the 14th August 1947 we got freedom not only from Hindu domination as well as from British rulers. Our country, Pakistan appeared on the world map as an independent country. We got freedom after losing a lot of brave persons and giving sacrifice of millions of rupees. Now we are proud to declared ourselves as a free and a respectable nation, but we do not remember the persons who lost their everything for the cause of freedom. Our independence day is celebrate to keep their memory fresh in our minds, but its painful to say that we do not remember them at all. We make great promises and proclaim that we are following their foot tracks, but in reality it is not so. Our leaders celebrate this great day to prove themselves as a great patriot so that they can get the maximum number of benefits. Our officers an other Govt. official celebrate it as they can get the chances of their promotion in higher grades. But nobody celebrates this day as a day of memory for those who sacrificed for the independence. We neither remember their great services nor ready to save this country from the destruction. We want to achieve maximum benefit only.

I had told the programmed to him long time ago. One day I proceeded to his village. Ali received me at the bus stand. He led me direct from the bus stand to the flower garden. In the garden I saw a number of flowers with different colors and shapes. Some of the flowers had different smell. The fragrance which they had produced made the garden so good that I felt freshness there. I saw there cuckoo and nightingale singing the songs of these flowers. I met there the gardener an enquired from about the various flowers and he gave me some goon answers. He told me the there were four kinds of rose. I then went to the orchard where the roses were growing. I saw that there were red, black, white and organge roses there. There were certain flower like Jasmeen. Cricket mach is a very interesting game. It is said that this game was invented by the lord of England. But now-a-days this game has come in the streets where poor people live. That is why this game has become the most popular game in the world. When a match is to be played between two first class teams, then we see a great excitement among the people. But a match between India and Pakistan then the becomes a part and partial of emotions. Last year when India Cricket team was on Pakistan tour, a one day international match was fixed at Niaz stadium Hyderabad. As being my favourite game, I also went to watch it in the ground. I, along with a number of my class mate people reached on the ground about half an hour before the start of match. It was when the time when the players of both teams were being introduced with the chief gust. Then group photograph was taken. The toss was won by Pakistan and the decided to bat first. Mudasar Nazar and Mohsin Hassan Khan opened the game. Both of them looked aggressive against the Indian bowling and made a lot of runs. All the players of Pakistan team played very well and got cheers from the crowd. When Indian openers came on the field they were already afraid of Pakistan fast bowlers and could show a good performance. After 40 overs all the Indian were out and Pakistan won the match.

24. The Aeroplane

The modern science has given us a lot of strange things among them the Aeroplane is the most wonderful invention. When we were not born and our for fathers were not aware of the science, they had invented certain fairy tales in which they used to give an account of a flying bed stead and they wondered how such a things can fly. Some persons who used to be called as wish person, always ridiculed these stores and they did not believe in it. But the modern science has made it possible and we see with our own eyes a big machine looking like a bird with wings spread passing high up in the air. It has more speed than the air and even than the sound. It covers the long distances very quickly. Thousand of miles are crossed by it in a part of an hour and within a short time reaches the most distant cities and towns. Whereas our fore fathers had no idea to reach there after travelling for years. Due to invention of this machine we can easily go round the world in short period of less than 20 hours and the research is being made to improve its speed. Now we have a lot of computerizes laboratories where it has been tried to find out the why how can we make the speed of an aeroplane equal with the speed of light. In few words we can say that due to aeroplane we have become able to perform one journeys within a short period.

The science has given a lot of very strange things. If a single thing was been by our fore fathers, then they would have considered this world as fairy land. One of the a lot of invention of science television is the most beautiful things. The world Television has been derived from the Latin words “Tele” which means for away an “Vision” which means to see. Thus the word television means to watch a distant thing. On the mini screen of about 2 feet we see the picture and hear the voice when programmes are telecasted from the television station. It is the scientific form of a cinema. Its screen has been for the pictures and load speaker for voice. It has many witches and buttosn. It is a source of entertainment and gives and gives more joy than the radio. We what news, drama, cartoons and movies on the screen. Apart from giving the entertainment we also have to learn a lot of things through it. A person daily comes to leach holy Quran to the children and we can learn from him as we do in our class rooms. We also have quiz programmes and literary debates on its screen. In Pakistan there are live television stations, in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Quetta and Peshawar. Inspite of its great importance we do not have given sufficient time to the programmes telecasted in ocal languages.

A few years ago the washer man used to be regarded as a very hard worker person, but now the time has changed and he has become the laziest person in the past he had to wake up early in the morning and to take the bundles of clothes to the river. Where he had wash such clothes with his own hands, there bundles were carried by him on a donkey. After washing all the clothes he had to return back to his home from where he used to take the washed clothes to return to their owners and collect the dusty clothes for washing. He had to go from door to door for this purpose. In the evening he had to go to Dhobi ghat for washing. But now the time has changed and the washer man has become the easiest person, every thing is to be performed by the machines. He has purchased various show rooms where his servants deal with the customers. He goes not go door to door, but through radio, television and newspapers he publicizes his shop. There for people hand over their clothes on his show rooms and collect from it. Now he has no need to weak up early in morning. He comes at the show room about 10: am and collects the clothes from his servants and washes them within one hour with the help to washing machines.

28. Duties Of A Student Or An Ideal Student

Students life is a temporary period of man’s life but it is of vital importance. It is the time when the seed of future prosperity and happiness is to be sown. As he will sow at this stage fo life, so will be reap in his later life. Therefore, an ideal student is no cultivate all the good qualities of a man during this time order to built a happy and proerous life. The first duty of an ideal student is to study. Learning with an ideal student is a “Jealous mistress”, as Mr. Haldane points out. The student constitute a class by themselves. Great responsibilities lie on them. His parents need not good him. He takes up his studies with all seriousness. He does not allow any other activity to disturb or to distract him. An ideal student does not waste his time and energy on trash. He seeks the teacher’s guidance. He has faith in the superior knowledge off his teachers. An ideal students is not a book-worm. He is keen but not blind. He select his reading wisely. He has well defined tastes and he develops them with patience and care. Constant and unbroken reading makes a person dull. It also affects one’s health. So an ideal student is interested in games and sports. He may not be an excellent player of any game. But he has enthusiaism for playing. If he cannot play he atlest articipates a spectator. Besides games there are other general activities at a possible. He picks and choose according to his taste.

29. Discipline

Growing in discipline in youths is causing a flutter in the thinking section of the community. The behavior of the youngsters in schools and colleges shows a tendency to do away with restrains. A small grievance causes big explosion. Waves of strikes, walk out; such violent measures are adopted on feeble pretext. With the arbour of a holy crusade, in a mole-like fashion they indulge in booing jeering and hurling abuses. Statements and counter statements follow, battles continue, they are fought to the finish. So much class conscious the youths have become, that they are ready to strike like the proletariat, the moment they find the time ripe for it. This is all very unhappy, no doubt, but the trouble is that we lock only on the surface, while the maladay lies far deeper. Let us do a bit a honest thinking and the problem will never baffle attempts at solution. What ails the student community, afflicts the whole of the society, the canntagion spreading for and wide? Some blame confusing political conditions for such state of affaris. That is true up to some extent. Confusion breeds discontent which is reflected in the behavior of the youths more quickly. Others blame economic misery for it, which causes despair and instigates them to take the law in their own hands. That to, might be one of the reasons, but things are not so simple as they appear to be.

32. The Holy Quran

It is the book which I like most. It is the Holy Book which was revealed on out Holy Prophet. Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) the last Prophet of God. The Holy Quran consist of 114 chapters called “Sura”. The Sura are of two types-those which were revealed on our Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) in Makka and those revealed in medina. 92 Sura are revealed in Makka which concern with the relations of God and man. The 22 Sura are revealed in medina concern with the relations of the human beings among themselves. The language of the Holy Quran is excellent. Its words are so impressive. They affect our body and soul alike. In fact, the purest book on earth is the Holy Quran. Man in product of society. He is a member of human society. He lives in group in the state of interaction. He lives in eh society because he is not self sufficient so far his requirements are concerned. He thus lives in close cooperation with others. Culturally the ideals are always noble. In struggle for achieving ideals, a man helps other first get pleasure, to live aloof is to become best. Only greedy and selfish persons lead isolated life. All great religions teach the lesson of helping others and especially our religion Islam has laid more emphasis on this noble cause. In fact, God has created man for helping the poor and needy persons. Those who are doing social services are making their homes in the Heaven. It is the main teaching of our beloved prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him) to take pleasure in helping other human beings. Actually, there is no other great pleasure as is pleasure of helping others.

If we turn over the pages of history we find that conqueror in the past took delight in bloodshed, cruelty and plunder of all thing it is the demon of war which we hate. The warmongers may love it. But the common man wants peace. Wars are always terrifying and hojorrible. The world has seen two devastating wars during the last sixty seven years in which both the victors and the world suffered during these two wars. Millions of men, women and children had been killed and wounded. Millions of people had been made homeless and suffered from proverty, I hunger and disease. 36. The Problem Of Education In Pakistan

Introduction-why standards are low How to improve-Conclusion. The standard of education in the country is steadily falling. The students turn out every wear from our educational institution are not up to the mark, they are much be low the expected standard. Let us find out where does the evil lie. In fact our education lacks meaning and purpose. The national education policy in every country is planned according to its environs and conditions. In the socialist countries, for instance, the educations so designed as to strengthened the infrastructure of socialism. But when it in Pakistan’s turn, any talk of giving ideology basis to our education is held in contempt. The process of undermining the ideological basis still continues unabated. The entire syallab right from the lower to the higher level should be planned accordance with ideology of the country. Again this a one will not lead to the desired result unless the teachers faithful adhere to this ideology. A good work cannot be accomplished by a bad workman. The whole system of education in our country is out of date. There is set pattern of papers and books and also of lecture. The planner, teachers, students and the examination system all are responsible for the fast deteriorating standards of education. The planers of our education are mostly fed on borrowed ideas which have no relevance to needs. Teachers, too, are no less responsible for this deteriorating standard of education. Barring a few hour able exception, most of them are teachers by accident. They jack sincerity of purpose dedication and missionary zeal. Student’s indifference towards studies is to-day largely due to the slackness allowed in the commutation. Why should they undergo the pain of study when the door of unfair means is wide open to them. The whole system has under go drastic change and the earlier the better. A comprehensive plan to raise the standard of education in our country should be evolved. Emphasis should be laid on meaningful education. Our education should be or noted to the ideology.
